Dr. Marty Robinson is a Professor of Trumpet and Jazz at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he directs jazz ensembles, teaches jazz history, and works with applied trumpet students. With degrees from Lawrence University, the Eastman School of Music, and Florida State University, he is an accomplished performer, composer, and educator. Renowned for his versatility, Dr. Robinson has performed with the Temptations, Mannheim Steamroller, and the Boston Pops.

Dr. Marty Robinson is a Professor of Trumpet and Jazz at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, where he directs jazz ensembles, teaches jazz history, and works with applied trumpet students. With degrees from Lawrence University, the Eastman School of Music, and Florida State University, he is an accomplished performer, composer, and educator whose career spans jazz and classical music. Renowned for his versatility, Dr. Robinson has performed with the Temptations, Mannheim Steamroller, and the Boston Pops, among others. His compositions have been commissioned by prominent ensembles like the Columbus Jazz Orchestra and the Boston Pops, and his music has featured on national broadcasts such as The Sopranos and 20/20. An active clinician and historian, he has presented scholarly work on topics ranging from Stravinsky to Duke Ellington, and his jazz students have gone on to perform with prestigious groups like the Airmen of Note and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
